学会員とともに歩む国際交流と重点領域活動で学会の未来を拓く（副会長（企画・国際担当）として）
日本教育工学会 副会長 岩崎千晶（関西大学）
副会長（企画・国際担当）を拝命しました岩﨑千晶です。重責を感じておりますが、日本教育工学会の更なる発展のために貢献していきたいと思います。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
私は国際委員会委員を2年間担当したのち、理事となり国際委員会副委員長を2年務め、その後国際委員会委員長を4年間務めました。委員長に就任してからは韓国のKSET（The Korean Society for Educational Technology）、中国のCAET（China Association for Educational Technology）・アメリカのAECT（Association for Education and Communication Technology）の代表らによるプレジデントトークの開催、AECTとの協定締結、AECTでのJSETセッションの開催などを行ってまいりました。また、重点領域活動委員会のELSI（Ethical, Legal and Social Issues倫理的、法的、社会的な課題）部会に所属し、ELSIの観点に配慮して、学会として何ができるのかを考えてまいりました。
今後は、これまでの経験を活かし、学会員の皆様のご意見に耳を傾け、そのご意向を学会活動に反映できる副会長として務めを果たしてまいります。
副会長として担当する委員会は、国際委員会、重点領域活動委員会です。会長の挨拶にもありますとおり、学会の企画戦略（https://www.jset.gr.jp/about/about-3892/）をベースに、国際と重点領域活動をつなげた企画を立案したいと考えております。
●国際委員会
国際委員会では、望月俊男先生に委員長、松田岳士先生に副委員長をお願いし、海外の学協会との交流を含む学会・会員の国際交流活動の推進、ならびに本法⼈の国際化に向けた企画・運営に関する実務を行います。会員の皆様にとってより身近で実践的な国際交流の機会を提供してまいります。
2025年秋季全国大会の注目企画：
今年の秋季全国大会では、学会員の国際研究を段階的に推進することを支援するシンポジウムを開催します。「国際会議で発表してみたいけれど、どこから始めれば…」という初回発表の準備から海外研究者との共同研究へと発展させるまでのプロセスを踏まえた話題を提供します。各報告に対して『Pathways to International Publication in the Social Sciences: A Guide for Early Career and Non-Native English Researchers』の著者であるInsung Jung先生をお招きし、実践に即した指定討論をいただきます。
加えて、国際会議での発表を考える若手研究者の支援も実施します。具体的には、国際会議で使える英語プレゼンテーション支援に関する企画セッションを開催し、若手研究者の英語でのプレゼンテーションスキルの向上を図ります。将来的には、若手研究者が国際会議での発表がしやすくなるような取り組みも検討中です。
8年ぶりに日中フォーラムを開催：
2025年12月7日（日）には成城大学にて日中フォーラムを開催します。日中フォーラムに関するこれまでの経緯は近藤ほか（2015）による論文（https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/jjet/39/2/39_39084/_article/-char/ja/）を参照ください。日中フォーラムは教育工学分野における日中の研究に関する相互理解、研究交流、若手の成長の機会として提供されています。国際交流は知的な刺激と研究視野の拡大をもたらす貴重な経験になります。ぜひ多くの方にご参加いただきたく思います。この記事を読まれた今、手帳に参加予定を入れてください。
こうした取り組みを通して、学会員が国際発表に挑戦できるように、また海外との共同研究を推進できるような支援を行います。
●重点活動領域委員会
日本教育工学会は、学会として重点的に取り組んでいる領域を社会に示し、社会貢献に寄与することを目指しています。2021年に発足した重点活動領域委員会は、堀田龍也前会長による体制のもと「情報教育部会」「学習環境部会」「学習評価部会」「先端科学技術とELSI部会」を発足させ、活動を行ってきました。
今後は、山内祐平新会長のもと、益川弘如先生に委員長、池尻良平先生に副委員長をお願いし、新たなテーマを設定して重点活動領域を始動させます。現在部会を検討している最中ですが、最新技術をテーマとした領域、今後日本教育工学会で取り上げていくべき領域など、現在の日本における社会課題に貢献すべき重要な課題を取り上げたいと考えています。秋季全国大会では新たな部会を紹介します。さらに、新部会では学会員の参加機会の拡大を図るため、従来の内部選考制から公募制での部会員の募集を段階的に実施したいと考えています。皆様の積極的なご参加をお待ちしております。
最後に、国際委員会と重点活動領域委員会での活動に加えて、私自身の経験を踏まえた取り組みについても述べさせていただきます。私は修士課程修了後に企業での数年間の勤務を経て博士課程に進学しました。博士課程では在学中に出産を経験しました。育児をしながらの研究の進め方において悩んだ時期もありましたが、指導教員、学会の先生方や仲間に支えられ、研究者としての道のりを歩み続けることができています。この経験から、多様なライフステージにある研究者が互いに支え合える環境の重要性を痛感しています。現代の研究者は、ワークライフバランスで悩むことが少なくありません。研究者同士が率直に話し合える場を設け、子育て中の研究者、転職を経験した研究者、外国籍の研究者など、様々な背景を持つ方々の声を聞ける機会を通じて、互いに学び合い、支え合える環境づくりに貢献したいと思っております。大会や研究会でお会いした際には、ぜひお気軽にお声がけください。皆様のご意見やご提案が、学会をより良くする原動力となると考えています。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。
Opening the Future of Our Society Through International Exchange and Priority Area Activities Walking Together with Society Members

I am Chiaki Iwasaki, who has been appointed as Vice President (Planning and International Affairs). While I feel the weight of this responsibility, I am committed to contributing to the further development of the Japan Society for Educational Technology. I humbly ask for your continued support and guidance.
I served as a member of the International Committee for two years, then became a board member and served as Vice Chair of the International Committee for two years, followed by four years as Chair of the International Committee. Since assuming the chairmanship, I have organized President Talks featuring representatives from KSET (The Korean Society for Educational Technology) in Korea, CAET (China Association for Educational Technology) in China, and AECT (Association for Education and Communication Technology) in the United States. I have also worked on concluding agreements with AECT and organizing JSET sessions at AECT conferences. Additionally, I have been involved with the ELSI (Ethical, Legal and Social Issues) subcommittee of the Priority Area Activities Committee, considering what our society can do while taking ELSI perspectives into account.
Moving forward, I will draw upon my past experience and fulfill my duties as Vice President by listening carefully to the opinions of our society members and reflecting their intentions in our society’s activities. As Vice President, I will oversee the International Committee and the Priority Area Activities Committee. As mentioned in the President’s greeting, I plan to develop initiatives that connect international activities with priority area activities, based on our society’s planning strategy (https://www.jset.gr.jp/about/about-3892/).
● International Committee
For the International Committee, I have asked Professor Toshio Mochizuki to serve as Chair and Professor Takeshi Matsuda as Vice Chair. The committee will promote international exchange activities for both the society and its members, including exchanges with overseas academic societies, and handle practical matters related to planning and operations for the internationalization of our organization. We will provide more accessible and practical international exchange opportunities for our members.
Featured Initiative for the 2025 Fall National Conference:
At this year’s fall national conference, we will hold a symposium to support the progressive advancement of our members’ international research. We will provide topics covering the entire process from preparing for first-time presentations—addressing questions like “I’d like to present at an international conference, but where should I start?”—to developing collaborative research with overseas researchers. For each presentation, we will invite Professor Insung Jung, author of “Pathways to International Publication in the Social Sciences: A Guide for Early Career and Non-Native English Researchers,” to provide practical designated commentary.
Additionally, we will provide support for early-career researchers considering presentations at international conferences. Specifically, we will hold a planning session on English presentation support for international conferences, aimed at improving young researchers’ English presentation skills. We are also considering future initiatives to make it easier for early-career researchers to present at international conferences.
Japan-China Forum to be held for the first time in 8 years:
On December 7, 2025 (Sunday), we will hold the Japan-China Forum at Seijo University. For the background and history of the Japan-China Forum, please refer to the paper by Kondo et al. (2015) (https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/jjet/39/2/39_39084/_article/-char/ja/). The Japan-China Forum is provided as an opportunity for mutual understanding, research exchange, and the growth of young researchers in the field of educational technology between Japan and China. International exchange provides valuable experiences that bring intellectual stimulation and expansion of research perspectives. We would very much like many people to participate. Now that you have read this article, please mark your participation in your calendar.
Through these initiatives, we will provide support to help society members take on the challenge of international presentations and promote collaborative research with overseas partners.
● Priority Area Activities Committee
The Japan Society for Educational Technology aims to demonstrate to society the areas on which the society is focusing its efforts and to contribute to society. The Priority Area Activities Committee, established in 2021 under the leadership of former President Tatsuya Horita, launched and has been operating the “Information Education Subcommittee,” “Learning Environment Subcommittee,” “Learning Assessment Subcommittee,” and “Advanced Science and Technology and ELSI Subcommittee.”
Moving forward, under new President Yuhei Yamauchi, I have asked Professor Hiroyuki Masukawa to serve as Chair and Professor Ryohei Ikejiri as Vice Chair to launch priority activity areas with new themes. We are currently considering the subcommittees, but we intend to address important issues that should contribute to current social challenges in Japan, including areas focused on cutting-edge technologies and areas that the Japan Society for Educational Technology should address in the future. We will introduce the new subcommittees at the fall national conference. Furthermore, to expand participation opportunities for society members, the new subcommittees plan to gradually implement open recruitment for subcommittee members, moving away from the traditional internal selection system. We look forward to your active participation.
Finally, in addition to activities in the International Committee and Priority Area Activities Committee, I would like to mention initiatives based on my own experiences. After completing my master’s degree, I worked in industry for several years before entering a doctoral program. During my doctoral studies, I gave birth to a child. While there were times when I struggled with how to conduct research while raising a child, I have been able to continue on my path as a researcher with the support of my supervisors, professors and colleagues in the academic society. From this experience, I deeply feel the importance of creating an environment where researchers at various life stages can support each other. Modern researchers often struggle with work-life balance issues. I would like to contribute to creating an environment where we can learn from and support each other by establishing venues for frank discussions among researchers and providing opportunities to hear voices from people with diverse backgrounds, including researchers raising children, those who have experienced career changes, and foreign researchers. Please feel free to approach me when we meet at conferences or research meetings. I believe that your opinions and suggestions are the driving force that makes our society better. 【特集記事】SIG-MCについて
重⽥勝介（SIG-MC代表）
マイクロクレデンシャルSIG（SIG-MC）は、2024年度に新たなSIGとして、学校教育や高等教育、生涯学習にわたり身につけた特定の知識やスキルを証明する「マイクロクレデンシャル」に関わる研究開発を行うために設立されました。本SIGでは、マイクロクレデンシャルの認知と普及、マイクロクレデンシャル利用による学習意欲の向上、マイクロクレデンシャルを介した学習評価やシステム開発に関する研究を推進するための、情報共有やセミナーの開催を計画しています。
近年、大学等の発行する学位等より粒度の小さな知識やスキルを習得したことを証明し、教育機関において身につける多様なコンピテンシーを裏付ける取組が増えてきました。このような履修証明をデジタル形式で発行するものとして「オープンバッジ」が有名ですが、マイクロクレデンシャルはさらに包括的に、学習者が得たコンピテンシーを専門家育成や就業機会と接続する、デジタルの履修証明です。例えば、マイクロクレデンシャルをCASE (Competency and Academic Standards Exchange)と呼ばれる教育分野における学習目標やスキルセットを標準化し、共有するためのフレームワークと組み合わせて、教育内容の透明性を高めながら、異なる教育機関やプログラム間での学習成果を比較することで、教育プログラムの設計や評価を共通化することが可能になります。また、専門家育成や就業機会の確保のため、職種ごとに求められるコンピテンシーをEU全体で定義するESCO（Europe Standard Classification of Occupation）のような枠組みも整理されつつあり、社会で活躍する人材を輩出する高等教育機関の対応も求められます。
しかしながら、このような形でマイクロクレデンシャルを教育機関で利用するためには、教育機関の既存のカリキュラムやシラバスをCASEに対応させたり、マイクロクレデンシャルを介した真正性のある学習評価を普及するなど、その手法に関する先進的な研究が必要です。SIG-MCでは、マイクロクレデンシャルの可能性と課題を理解した上で、マイクロクレデンシャルに関わる研究開発を進めるための研究会やセミナーを開催しています。SIG-MCの活動状況については、JSETウェブサイトに随時掲載しておりますので、ご確認ください。
